The Land of Eternal Spring
We’re kicking off 2026 in one of our favorite places—Guatemala—where vibrant culture, ancient history, and breathtaking landscapes come together. Known as the Land of Eternal Spring, it’s home to 37 volcanoes and colonial ruins with centuries-old stories.
At the heart of it all is Antigua, a city full of charm, colorful facades, cobblestone streets, and warm energy. Here, we’ll slow down, savor every bite, and experience the soul of Guatemala—together.
Itinerary
Dates: February 14–19, 2026
Touch down in Guatemala City—just 5 hours from NYC & LA, 4 from Chicago, and 3 from Miami—where our private driver will whisk you away to the enchanted city of Antigua. You’ll settle into your space, meet the faces you’ll be sharing this journey with, and join us for a cozy Welcome Dinner to kick off the magic.
Day One | Saturday | Arrival
Our day starts with intention—learning, cooking, and connecting over flavors that have been passed down for generations. From the very start, you’ll be immersed in the tastes of Guatemala, joining local chefs at a village cooking school in Jocotenango to prepare traditional dishes like tamales, tortillas, and rellenitos, all from scratch.
We’ll wrap by early afternoon so you can wander, rest, or enjoy the city at your own pace.
Day Two | Sunday | A Taste of Guatemala
The morning is yours—explore, recharge, or dive into something bold. Whether you’re craving movement or a moment of stillness, we’ve got you. Want to hike Pacaya Volcano and enjoy pizza cooked over volcanic heat? Go for it. Curious about a chocolate-making class, an ATV ride through the hills, or something totally spontaneous? It’s your day to lean into whatever calls you.
Later, we’ll reconnect at home for a private chef dinner—a cozy, celebratory night made just for us. Expect a table full of local dishes, laughter, and that kind of magic that only happens when good people gather over a great meal.
Day Three | Monday | Explore and Feast
This morning, we’re carving more than souvenirs—we’re creating something personal. At Antigua’s Jade Museum, you’ll learn about the deep spiritual and cultural significance of jade in Guatemalan history, and why it’s considered the country’s national stone.
Then, with the guidance of expert jade carvers, you’ll design and shape your own jade keepsake—a necklace, bracelet, or keychain—to take home. It’s hands-on, grounding, and a beautiful way to carry a piece of this land with you.
The afternoon is yours—wander, rest, or explore more of Antigua at your own pace.
Day Four | Tuesday | Rooted in History, Made by You
Day Five | Wednesday | Grateful, Gathered, Glowing
Enjoy a slow morning or explore more of the city—this is your time. In the evening, we’ll gather for a Farewell Dinner at one of Antigua’s most beloved restaurants. Cameras ready… this night is going to be one to remember!
As we say our goodbyes, you’ll make your way back home—heart full, camera roll overflowing, and stories to tell. Whether you’re editing your favorite snaps on the plane or already planning your return, we hope Guatemala stays with you long after wheels up.
Don’t forget to tag your moments with #TravelwithCastles so we can relive it with you. ✨
Day Six | Thursday | Until We Meet Again
Lake Atitlán Add-On Experience
Often called the Jewel of Guatemala, Lake Atitlán is a place of deep beauty and spiritual energy, surrounded by volcanoes and rich with Mayan culture.
It’s a peaceful retreat and we’re giving you the chance to experience its magic.
Note: You must book the Guatemala group trip + Lake Atitlán add-on during checkout. This experience is exclusive to trip participants and requires at least 4 adventurers to run. If fewer than 4 sign up, the Lake Atitlán portion will be canceled.
Itinerary
Dates: February 19-22, 2026
We’ll hop into a private transfer from Antigua to Panajachel Port (approx. 3–4 hours). From there, a ferry will take us across the water to our accommodations on Lake Atitlán. The rest of the day is yours to soak in the views of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.
Day Six | Thursday | Journey to the Lake
We’ll start the morning with a Sound Ceremony, a sacred experience rooted in ancient practices designed to ground, heal, and reconnect you with yourself and your surroundings.
You’ll have the afternoon to relax on the property or hop on a boat to explore nearby towns and artisan markets.
Day Seven | Friday | Rest and Reset
Today’s all yours—explore towns like San Juan or San Marcos, joining a lakeside yoga class, Mayan cooking class, or sinking into a hammock with the breeze.
Wander an artisan market, sip coffee with a volcano view, or kayak into the quiet. However you spend it, Lake Atitlán always gives you what you need.
Day Eight | Saturday | Your Day, Your Way
We’ll make our way back to Guatemala City for your flight home—It’s not goodbye… it’s see you later. We’ll be dreaming of volcano views and lakeside mornings until we meet again. <3
